Duke came to join our family when he was almost 5 months old. His first family loved him alot, but was unable to keep him. I co-own Duke with a friend/Dukes breeder--Ginny Merchant of Kengali Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Ginny did a wonderful job in placing Duke with a new family...MINE!!!! When Duke introduced himself to my husband, Shannon...I knew there was a connection instantly. Duke is a man's dog!!

Duke is very sweet and loving. He is sooo Goofy and is very, very talkative. He will make you laugh with his personality!! A big dog with puppy mentality....I wouldn't give him up for anything. I don't think Shannon would allow it!!!

Duke has the "attitude" of  "What you see, is what you get"....Nothing fake here!! Duke doesn't need to put on a show to get noticed....Kinda like Shannon, no wonder they have a connection!!!

Duke and I started his show career when he was 9 months old....He showed better than even I expected....All four feet on the ground and facing the right direction. He even won his class. I was very proud of him!!! Duke really enjoys loading up and going to events...He is a social bug. Everyone is his friend.....Duke has never met a stranger!!

I am very proud to say that I am the owner of such a beautiful Liver nose boy.....A True Hound, Through and Through...

Duke has let me know loud and clear...he has found his "calling" in life!!! He has decided that the show ring is way to boring for him...he is most definitely still a social bug...outside of the ring...but once Duke enters the ring he acts soooo sad, like you broke his heart

Duke's calling in life is most definitely...HUNTING!!! Duke has been hunting since he was a little under a year old. He is good at what he does and loves every minute he hunts. Duke is very accomplished with
The Hunting Ridgeback Association...

My liver boy has proven he is a hound in every aspect of the word that hunts like a true rhodesian ridgeback...
